2017 4CWA – Wedding Planning Award Winners

At Rocks and Frocks or RandFweddings as we are typically known, we have been professional wedding planners operating primarily in the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Peterborough areas as well as further afield since 2004.

Historically we have never taken part in awards as often there are so many different awards some of which have some or limited credibility others no more than clever marketing gimmicks. When the 4CWA launched 3 years ago by the passionate wonderful and glamorous Tracy Butterfield of WEDx fame, who is a self described Champion of Wedding professionals, we knew that this could be a little different and something we could get behind.

The 4CWA awards cover 4 counties and every entrant is judged individually by a panel of industry experts along with the quality of client testimonials.

This year we decided to enter and are amazed, shocked, astounded and elated to have been awarded 2017 Winner in the Wedding Planning and Production category!!!!! The gala evening was an amazing Cuban themed night with Cuban dresses, Cigars and Dancing until the clocks struck Midnight, and with so many event professionals in one room of course it went without a hitch.

We heard from the inspirational and amazing Naomi Thomas of The Wedding Wishing Well Charity of which we are a sponsor/supplier and it was really amazing to see the work that the charity is undertaking along with learning more about Naomi’s own personal battles and how this inspires her to give back the way she does.

We love what we do and whilst we are confident in our own experience, skills and ability its been an amazing journey that would not have been possible without the recognition from our industry peers and most importantly the feedback from our amazing and wonderful clients.

Since Winning this Award, our Planner in Chief and company founder Vanessa Harness has gone on to do a BBC Radio interview, received recognition for her achievements in the Wedding Planning world from The National Association of Wedding Professionals of which we are are a member and is currently working on several projects collaborating with other like minded professionals and of course is also still working very hard to deliver for our 2018/2019 existing wedding planning clients.

What a fantastic end to 2017, we are really finishing this year on a high and looking forward to seeing what amazing things our couples have in store for 2018. Quite where we go for 2018 after winning this award for our wedding planning we are not sure but as the saying goes the only way is up!
