Charlotte & Rob’s Norfolk Barn Wedding
There’s nothing like the large blue skies of Norfolk to elevate the mood. So, when fun loving Charlotte and Rob gathered their equally bubbly friends and family together on a gorgeous cloudless August day, it’s no wonder that the joyous atmosphere at their Norfolk Barn wedding was complete excitement for the day ahead.
Charlotte and her bride squad spent the morning getting ready in nearby holiday cottages; with the fizz flowing the pampering commenced courtesy of Ieva Genovesi. Charlotte wore a stunning cap-sleeved dress designed by Suzanne Harrington Bride, whilst her bridesmaids oozed the perfect relaxed boho vibe in their dusty blue dresses, complete with flower hoop bouquet alternative. Charlotte’s finishing touch was a stunning appliquéd veil also hand made by Suzanne Harrington.
Rob and the groomsmen got ready at the same cottage location so it was fun trying to keep the girls and the boys apart when they were almost ready to leave! Charlotte and Rob chose to use the wonderful Zena Birch as their humanist celebrant who was recommended to them through Katie Matthews, one of Charlotte’s friends who is also a humanist celebrant but wanted to enjoy the day as a friend and guest.
With emotion flowing, the nerves didn’t last long as during their ceremony all the guests were offered a shot of Café Patron tequila (after Zena had read through the mammoth list of where the couple had both been on their travels) with their guests reminiscing on the numerous adventures they had already enjoyed together, retold in true Zena Birch style.
After the ceremony, guests moved outside for drinks and canapés in the courtyard and games on the lawn whilst C&R held their legal civil ceremony with just two witnesses). After more drinking, the guests were enticed into the main barn for a delicious wedding breakfast served by Alex Chef. The food service was relaxed with lots of sharing boards and a grazing dessert table with delicious treats from Dust With Cocoa.
In the evening the party started with the Velvet Notes and Quirk Events carrying the party on until midnight with their DJ tunes. Quirk Events were also responsible for the lighting throughout the ceremony and reception barns. Charlotte changed in the evening into an awesome sequinned jumpsuit perfect for letting her hair down on the dance floor!
