Stacey & Gareth’s September fun filled Wedding

Stacey & Gareth’s September fun filled Wedding

Back in September we were lucky enough to plan the wedding of Stacey and Gareth.  Their wedding was held on a gloriously warm day with beautiful blue skies; perfect weather for their outdoor reception which was held at their home.

Due to suffering from anxiety and worries that Stacey would not be able to enjoy her day we worked with them on how we could give them a day that would make them feel comfortable and relaxed.  They married in church on a Wednesday with immediate family, followed by an intimate pub lunch and then on Saturday came the party! This was held in a converted piggery at their home and the hard work they put in to transform what was an almost derelict barn and surrounding area into the perfect party venue was amazing. Between them and their families they rebuilt the barn, created all of the little touches for the day including the barn seating and of course built the The Piggery bar!

They wanted a relaxed garden party with garden games, giant inflatables, a BBQ and a band; no seating plans, no formalities, no frills and no fuss – a wedding day that was true to themselves.

Bride and Groom signature cocktails and kegs of ale and cider awaited guests on their arrival along with delicious canapés served by Puddini at the Deli.

Fitting in with the relaxed party atmosphere meant that the speeches were held outside around the fire pit whilst various guests cooked s’mores on the fire and the cake cutting was fantastic fun.  The feature cake table which was a gigantic commercial wooden cable reel (a wedding present from a guest!) was too big for Stacey and Gareth to reach the cake which sat in the middle so I think this is the first wedding where I’ve helped a Bride climb onto the cake table to be able to cut the cake!  With various intolerances we opted for a refined sugar, dairy and gluten free cake from Sweet P Allergen free in the following amazing flavours: Lemon, Lavender & Honey, Maple Pumpkin Spice, Maple & Bourbon and Chocolate Orange with seasonal berries and a chocolate ganache.

The evening entertainment was from the brilliant BB Collective (two members of which had provided acoustic background music earlier in the afternoon).  As for the R&F team; well, we had a ball manning the Piggery Bar for the night!  Our LOVE letters provided light and the perfect backdrop in the Piggery Barn and they also hired their initials to light the outdoor cider and ale bar.

The whole wedding was captured brilliantly by the gorgeous Lina & Tom and we think the photos speak for themselves and tell a perfect story of the day.  A Bride and Groom who wanted their wedding party to be what they wanted and how they wanted to do it so that they were able to relax and enjoy it.

If you think we could help you plan your wedding; please do not hesitate to contact us for a chat over tea and cake.
