Michaela + Ollie’s Cambridge Tipi Wedding
On the most beautiful Spring Day at the end of March, we were lucky enough to be a part of M+O’s beautiful Cambridge tipi wedding on the family farm, which subsequently has been a feature real wedding in Your East Anglian Wedding Magazine
Despite our fears over the weather being too cold, on the wedding morning we were treated to bright blue skies and sunshine, with Michaela at one point worrying that she was going to melt in her long sleeved dress! (not something we usually have to worry about for March!).
Michaela made her way to church with her father in a vintage Triumph Stag car, stopping when they were half a mile away from the Church to remove the roof and blast through the village. Ollie on the other hand had made his way from the family farm in a vintage Land Rover Series 2 that he had lovingly rebuilt and restored with Michaela’s Father – family bonding goals right there!
After a beautiful church service, guests emerged into the late afternoon sunshine to walk to the reception at the farm or hop on board the Farm’s trusty John Deere tractor and trailer combo that had been polished to perfection for the occasion.
The reception was 3 tipis from the Cambridge Tent Company, situated in a commanding position at the top of a hill on the farm. The farm was expertly lit by Charlie from We are Pink Lamp with lots of lovely festoon guiding guests from the car park to the tipis.
Little Piggy Catering provided guests with lots of gorgeous comfort food with hearty canapés, a roast and the biggest dessert display for guest’s to tuck into at their leisure throughout the night.
Hot drinks and hot cocktails were served up by the team from The Horsebox bar to keep the early spring chill at bay whilst inside the tipis, guests either tried their luck on the roulette tables or danced their feet off to The Suits band.
