Sadie & Jonathan’s Cambridge Wedding

When a couple meet in Paris on Christmas Eve and you’re tasked with managing their wedding, you know it will be a romantic day that is very true to them! For Sadie and Jonathan that meant having a very personalised Cambridge wedding, with their ceremony and drinks reception at the Groom’s place of work, Trinity College.

Sadie is based in the Middle East and their UK destination wedding meant friends and family had travelled across the world to join them. This made the opportunity for Sadie to have a relaxed morning getting ready with her closest friends even more of a rare and luxurious treat. With Kate Fletcher MUA and Kate Atalay Hair Stylist in full swing, and Sadie’s beautiful bouquet of peonies getting the whole room swooning over it, the day had definitely started in romantic style.

The Chapel at Trinity provided a beautiful space for their heartfelt ceremony, complete with the amazing sounds of the organ and choir. Due to Jonathan’s connection to the college, the personal bond between the couple and the venue team was lovely to behold, with many staying as guests throughout the celebrations.

With the beautiful Bowling Green as our setting, guests enjoyed an afternoon tea drinks reception complete with quintessentially English cucumber sandwiches and scones. Following their emotional speeches, Sadie and Jonathan enjoyed the plentiful couple photo opportunities that Trinity College provides, all perfectly captured by Alex Beckett.

Guests were then invited to enjoy the sights of a sunny Summer Cambridge day as they ventured from Trinity College to The Portland Arms, the local pub Jonathan often frequents and a fitting venue for the celebrations to continue. Saving their energy for the dancing to come, Sadie and Jonathan journeyed to the pub in classic style in a friend’s Rolls Royce.

The Portland Arms had the perfect welcoming, relaxed and truly personal feel for the evening ahead. Having seen them perform at the pub previously, the couple chose Four Doors Down to return to the gig stage and provide the ideal end to their intimate wedding celebrations.
